These are the unique original Watercolour paintings by John Worsley. A vibrant Hula feast welcomes Wee Willie Winkie and his friends to Hawaii in this moody watercolour painted for a page of a Wee Willie Winkie story in Treasure magazine. The guest clap whilst guitars strum and the feast awaits. Worsley achieves a fantastic sense of light and detail around Hannibal the Baby Elephant who is preoccupied with a basket of bananas, whilst some of the more detailed facial features are feature-full and beautifully painted.
Please note: this stunning piece will be shipped with a free complimentary watercolour painted for the same adventure by John Worsley.
Worsley, who spent time in a P.O.W. camp after being captured in Yugoslavia during World War II, achieves a fantastic liberation from the past by painting in such a fluid joyful manner.
Worsley's work can be found in The Imperial War Museum, The Maritime Museum, The collection of HM The Queen, The Savage club and many other private collections including those of Royal Families, banks and Colleges.
