Description: An original watercolour and gouache painting depicting Queen Phillippa pleading with Edward King of England to spare the lives of six wealthy burgers after his successful siege of Calais. She died in 1369. Professionally matted and framed. Accompanied by the magazine Tina December 1967 in which the original first appeared.
