Original pen and ink with whitening on grey board. A fantastic detailed work typical of this accomplished artist. The reverse has the inscription 'Gio Matteo and the King of France'. Story by Machiavelli.

Thought to have been used in the magazine Britannia & Eve in the 1930s. Perfect condition. Professionally matted ready for framing.
