This is the unique original Gouache painting by Barrie Linklater.

Rosemarie Mudie's tale of an attempt to cross The Atlantic in a hot air balloon. At one point they crashed into the sea and had to let the balloon free. In the end they made landfall in Barbados after four days in the air and twenty at sea.

Originally published in Look and Learn issue 190, 4th September 1965. Note that there is a vertical crease on the back of the board but it does not impact on the artwork. Art extends to the edge of the board on three sides and there are minor bumps. This is reflected in the price.
