The Siege of Malta (also known as the Great Siege of Malta) took place in 1565 when the Ottoman Empire invaded the island, then held by the Knights Hospitaller.
Also included is a depiction of British World War II fighter planes scrambled against German planes during the 20th Century attack on the island with a depiction of the Malta Cross for gallantry.
