Squadron Commander Dunning in his Sopwith Pup becomes the first man to land an aircraft on a moving ship, HMS Furious. The problem being the superstructure of the ship was still in the middle, not to one side thus the pilot had to fly alongside the ship and then "side-slip" on to the deck.
