A typically detailed depiction of life in the Wild West by Ron Embleton. This piece shows a gathering of Mountain Men relaxing in an Indian style camp in hill country. Note the whiskey in the jar as they gamble on a sticks throwing game.

This is from the famous series The Winning of the West that appeared in 1972 in the magazine World of Wonder, the companion to Look and Learn.
