This is the original Gouache painting by Ron Embleton.

This is the original art used in Look and Learn magazine in July 1971. This wonderful painting depicts Broncho Charlie Miller who was a Pony Express Rider before he joined Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show in 1885.

In 1887 the Show visited England and performed for Queen Victoria. During his stay Charlie took part in a 6 day race against 2 cyclists across London.
