This is the Signed original Pen & Ink drawing by Rudolph Dirks.

Rudolph Dirks created the popular comic strip The Katzenjammer Kids in 1897. It is the oldest American comic strip. When he changed newspapers in 1914 he had to rename the strip The Captain and the Kids for legal reasons. This is a very fine example Sunday half page from February 1938.
