A perfectly composed panel: a great speech bubble balanced by a simple, well-drawn picture of an iconic character. I get a kick out of the clear, flat, vivid sea of blue. This screenprint is a good example of how the clean colour and bold outlines of comic images are the perfect subjects to screenprint.

I love the great expanse of colour on his chest, and the quizzical look on his macho face. This image was first printed as part of a story in the 1979 Desperate Dan annual.
