Description: Claude Grahame-White was one of Britain's leading aviators before World War One. In 1914 he set a world record by carrying eight passengers in an aeroplane. Grahame-White would take passengers for a couple of circuits above Hendon for £2.00 or charge £26.00 for a return flight to Brooklands race track. He also predicted transatlantic passenger flights.
