Biffo the Bear Blowing Bubbles (Limited Edition Print) (Signed)

Biffo the Bear Blowing Bubbles (Limited Edition Print) (Signed)

(Ref: Biffo1fullpaper)

Artist: Beano comic
Medium: Limited edition Screenprint on Paper
Size: 28" x 38" (710mm x 970mm)
Date: 1967
Signature: Signed by the Print Maker

This is a Signed Limited edition print.

Biffo the Bear is a delight to screenprint. The bold features and clean outlines of the drawings and the bright colours of the front pages make him a very good subject for the medium.

Biffo was on the front cover of The Beano starting from 1948 and he lasted there until 1974, when Dennis the Menace took over. Biffo was originally drawn by Dudley D Watkins but David Sutherland took over in 1969.

Screenprinted with enlargements of the original colour separations used by D.C. Thomson in 1967. Taken from the Beano 1967.

This art has been sold and is shown in our Archive for interest.
