In 1966 Carl Barks retired and left the world he created to new artists who picked up his style and approach.This was not the end of his career. An accomplished painter, from 1972 up to his death, he rendered about 150 paintings which normally featured scenes from his stories and covers.

This is a lithograph of one such painting that was included with the impressive Uncle Scrooge McDuck book published in 1981 in honor of Carl Barks’s 80th birthday. The book was limited to 5000 numbered copies and it included a separate numbered lithograph of this painting of which this is the very low number of 15 / 5000. Features Uncle Scrooge, Donald Duck, Huey Duey and Luey.
