This is the Signed original Gouache painting by Severino Baraldi.

Sir Richard Burton disguises himself as a pilgrim traveller to Mecca. His disguise was so good that it enabled him to be totally undetected. He knew that one false move would lead to certain death. Although Burton was not the first non-Muslim European to make the Hajj his pilgrimage is the most famous and best documented of the time.
