Description: Captain William Bligh surprised by mutineers on The Bounty. Although he was cast adrift in an open boat his superb seamanship saved his life. The crew mutineered after a long and perilous voyage to Tahiti, many could not stomach the thought of a return trip after sampling the good life on the island. Note a section 90mm x 90mm has been cut out of the art upper right for editorial reasons and later replaced. Does not affect main action in the picture.
