This is the Signed original Gouache painting by Leslie Ashwell Wood.

Leslie Ashwell Wood was best known for his detailed cutaway paintings as featured on the centre page spread of Eagle in the 1950s and this is a very fine rare surviving example of the original art, depicting the very latest fire engine of 1952.

The art was printed in Eagle comic dated 18th July 1952 as a centre page spread. A copy of the printed version accompanies the art.

This art has been sold and is shown in our Archive for interest.
