Description: A marvelous scene depicted by Millar Watt of Letizia Bonaparte and her husband Carlo of the Corsican army fighting the French for their independence. Greeted by a French officer on the mountain top the Corsican's were offered partnership with the French throne by Louis of France. Despite Carlo wanting to name their son Louis, Letizia said he should have a noble Bonaparte name and called him Napoleon.
A signed original painting used to tell the story and published in the magazine Princess #35 in 1964. A copy of the magazine accompanies the art. Professionally matted ready for framing.
